The Canterbury Steam Preservation Society Inc (aka Steam Scene) is located at Mcleans Island in Christchurch. We operate a small bush railway loop with 2 main steam locomotives, being our 'Price V' and 'Fowler' locomotives. We also have a bush Railcar which is usually operated in the warmer months when we have a fire ban. We also have a great collection of operating stationary steam engines in our 'Steam Museum'.
We operate on the first Sunday of the month, aprox from 10:00am till 4:00pm. (Fire risk dependant)
